Sam Ward is a junior Photojournalism student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of those rare Carolina students you meet who was born in Chapel Hill.

Traveling is something that has always been an integral part of his life and his love of photography beginning at a young age has blended well with that love.

Making his way through four continents by foot, bike, car, bus, train, plane and boat has given him an appetite for adventure and an eye for the beauty that is everywhere.

Whether he is climbing to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro before the sun rises, or he is biking from San Francisco, Calif., to Virginia Beach, Va., he always has his camera.
